Physician Assistant
A Physician Assistant is a State Licensed or Federally Certified practitioner that is part of a team with their supervising physician/s. The Physician Assistant's education process typically parallels that of traditional medical school, but is a shorter program and does not require formal internship or residency. The Physician Assistant shares responsibility of the patient with the supervising physician. They also function as a first assist to the orthopedic surgeon during surgery.
